AceShowbiz - Ryan Adams last week announced that he's readying an album featuring his covers of Taylor Swift's "1989" songs. The 40-year-old singer/songwriter then offered a new update on the project on Thursday, August 13 when he posted on Instagram a "1989" artwork with his head replacing Swift's.
In the caption for the image, Adams revealed he's only four songs away from finishing his covers album. "Tonight the madness continues... 4 songs left!!! W @cstavish @totally_tod @natelotz #1989," he wrote.
In a follow-up post, he continued to tease his upcoming record by sharing a snippet of his take on "Wildest Dream", which happens to be Swift's next official single. "Can't wait too add Strings... Also has a surprise coda," he wrote alongside the clip.
After learning from a fan that Ryan was going to cover all songs off her "1989", Swift last week expressed excitement on Twitter. "Is this true??????? I WILL PASS OUT," she wrote.
Ryan himself then confirmed the news and she got more excited. The former country darling wrote to him, "Cool I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight or ever again and I'm going to celebrate today every year as a holiday. I'M CALM."
