Michelle Dockery is reunited with her on-screen husband Dan Stevens at the BAFTA celebration of the period drama series.

AceShowbiz - Not even death can separate Lady Mary from Mathew Crawley. Michelle Dockery and Dan Stevens, who play the beloved couple on "Downton Abbey", were finally reunited at a BAFTA event celebrating the British drama series.

Dockery shared on Instagram a black-and-white picture of her and her former co-star flashing big smiles. She captioned it, "Reunited.@thatdanstevens I've missed this face #bafta #LastDaysOfDownton #matthewandmary."

Dockery and Stevens were not the only "Downton Abbey" stars attending the BAFTA event on Tuesday night, August 11. Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Joanne Froggatt and other cast and crew members were on hand to celebrate the worldwide success of the period drama.

Stevens exited the Julian Fellowes-created show after three seasons. His character Mathew died in a car accident in the 2012 Christmas special.

Dockery and the other remaining cast, meanwhile, will reprise their respective roles for the sixth and final season, which will premiere in the U.S. January 3, 2016 on PBS.
