'Gotham' Casts 'The Wire' Alum Leo Fitzpatrick as Original Villain

Fitzpatrick will recur in season 2 of the Batman prequel series as a notorious gang leader named Joe Pike.

AceShowbiz - Another actor has just been tapped to villainize "Gotham" season 2. Leo Fitzpatrick, who has appeared on "The Wire" and "Sons of Anarchy" among others, has landed a recurring role in the sophomore season of the FOX series.

The 37-year-old actor is set to portray Joe Pike, the leader of a notorious gang of arsonists known as the Pike Brothers. The character is an original one which is created for the TV series, Deadline reports.

Fitzpatrick joins James Frain, Jessica Lucas and Dustin Ybarra who have been cast as new villains Theo Galvan, his sister Tabitha a.k.a. Tigress, and Robert Greenwood, "a homicidal cannibal locked up in Arkham Asylum."

Michael Chiklis, meanwhile, is tapped to portray Captain Nathaniel Barnes, who "lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham's police force. He is a law and order zealot; unafraid of making enemies - on either side of the law."

"Gotham" returns with its new season Monday, September 21 at 8/7c on FOX.
