AceShowbiz - Bleecker Street has released the first official trailer for upcoming drama about Communism, "Trumbo". Making its way out via Fandango, the trailer comes with an introduction from the leading actor, Bryan Cranston.

Cranston stars as a famous Hollywood screenwriter named Dalton Trumbo. He lives every screenwriter's dream before his career crumbles away due to his political belief. A dark turn begins when the House of Un-American Activities Committee, an investigative committee responsible to track down someone or organization suspected of having ties to Communism, launches an investigation into the industry.

Trumbo declines to testify and is subsequently blacklisted in Hollywood and sentenced to an 11-month stay in prison. Despite his exile, Trumbo continues to work, penning the script of Stanley Kubrick's "Spartacus". "Nobody has the right to tell you how to write, act, pray, speak, vote, protest, love, work, create, live or think," reads a tagline at the end of the trailer.

The film is directed by Jay Roach, who recently focused on political materials such as HBO's films "Recount" and "Game Change". Helen Mirren, Diane Lane, Louis C.K., Elle Fanning, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg and Alan Tudyk are also attached to star in the movie alongside Cranston. It will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before getting a limited release in the U.S. on November 6.
