The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star has removed her selfie endorsing morning sickness pill after the American Food and Drug Administration calls it 'misleading.'

AceShowbiz - American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) slams Kim Kardashian for endorsing morning sickness pill, Diclegis, on Twitter and Instagram. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star is even requested to remove her promotional selfie which is deemed "misleading" from the social media.

Last month, Kim posted on her social media channels a picture of herself holding Diclegis pill bottle. "OMG. Have you heard about this? As you guys know my #morningsickness has been pretty bad. I tried changing things about my lifestyle, like my diet, but nothing helped, so I talked to my doctor," read the caption. "He prescribed me #Diclegis, and I felt a lot better and most importantly, it's been studied and there was no increased risk to the baby."

FDA has reviewed Kim's social media post. In a warning letter posted on its website, it is said that "the social media post is false or misleading" because it "presents efficacy claims for DICLEGIS, but fails to communicate any risk information associated with its use and it omits material facts." Besides, the pill "has not been studied in women with hyperemesis gravidarum" or severe morning sickness.

The government agency later requests both Kim and Duschenay Inc., the company which produces the medication, to stop the promotion or, in other words, remove Kim's post. Otherwise, the company will be asked to stop the distribution of Diclegis. The post has since been taken down from the reality TV star's social media channels.
