The new version of the wallcrawler will reportedly wear the traditional blue-and-red costume in the upcoming superhero movie 'Captain America: Civil War'.

AceShowbiz - Ever since Tom Holland's Spider-Man was expected to make his cinematic debut in "Captain America: Civil War", rumors about how the character will be different from the previous version keep rumbling. Latest news claims that the wallcrawler will use the traditional costume in the upcoming film.

According to Comicbook, "Civil War" will feature Spidey's classic blue-and-red color scheme. While "Civil War" in the comics introduced a Spider-Man who wore a red-and-gold costume provided by Tony Stark, the source insist that in the movie, the webslinger will use the same costume as it was previously seen.

Back in April, producer Kevin Feige hinted that the costume of Spider-Man would be different from the previous one. "We've already designed the costume, which is different than any of the ones that have come before. And yet ours is classic Spidey, as I think you'll see," the producer said.

In July, Marvel Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada claimed that the costume of the new Spider-Man would be awesome. "It looks awesome. I've seen a lot of design work that's been done on the costume. I think there are elements of it that are really going to blow people away, where they are going to go 'Ah, that's Marvel doing Spider-Man.' It's Spider-Man," Quesada said.

Not so long after Quesada teased the costume, a Twitter account which was said to be director Joe and Anthony Russo's account uploaded a photo which sparked speculations that the new version of Spider-Man would wear a black-and-red costume.

Although there are so many rumors about the costume that will be worn by Spider-Man, none of them is confirmed. However, it is not impossible if Spidey will use all of those costumes, noting that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" has proved that the same superhero can wear more than one costume in a movie.

"Civil War" centers on Captain America who is against Iron Man over the issue of superhuman registration. The film brings back Chris Evans as the titular hero along with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier. It will arrive on May 6, 2016 Stateside.
