AceShowbiz - Meghan Trainor debuted her new song "Better When I'm Dancin' " during a show on her ongoing "MTrain" tour. The singer revealed to PEOPLE earlier this week that she wrote the track for the upcoming "Peanuts" movie.
"Just move those left feet/ Go ahead get crazy/ Anyone can do it," Trainor sings on the upbeat and feel-good jam. "Show the world you've got that fire/ Feel the rhythm getting louder/ Prove to them you've got the moves."
Trainor said to PEOPLE that she wrote "Better When I'm Dancin' " after Steve Martino who directed the film asked her to create a song about confidence. "They wanted a song about confidence and knew I was good at writing those. I feel better when I'm onstage dancing and having fun, so I wrote about that!" she explained.
The film's animator thanked Trainor for her song by creating a "Peanuts" version of her. "Isn't it so cute?" she said of the animated version of herself. "They sent me the first version and I said, 'Don't touch it, it's perfect.' It's the background on my phone!"
Trainor has been on her "MTrain" tour to support her debut album "Title". The "Peanuts" movie is hitting U.S. theaters on November 6.
