The 'No Sleeep' singer reportedly won't resume the production of the highly-anticipated tour and will stay by her father's side until he's more stable.

AceShowbiz - Janet Jackson's upcoming live shows may get postponed after her dad Joe Jackson suffered a stroke last week. According to Entertainment Tonight, the singer has halted the production of her "Unbreakable" tour so she can be by his side.

Joe had a stroke on his 87th birthday on Saturday, July 25 while he was in Brazil. On Monday, he thanked fans for their prayers and assured them he's going to be okay. "I want to thank you all for your prayers, unwavering support and kind well wishes during these trying times," he said in a statement posted on his website.

"Through God's intervention the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and caretakers at the Albert Einstein Sao Paulo hospital have taken great care of me. God willing, I should be able to make a quick recovery and travel back home soon," he added.

ET's report indicates that Janet will not resume the preparation for the highly-anticipated tour and will continue to stay with Joe until he is more stable.

Janet is scheduled to kick off her "Unbreakable" world tour on August 31 in Vancouver. She's also expected to release her comeback album later this year. The record has so far been preceded by "No Sleeep", which she recently reworked with J. Cole. A music video for the collaboration arrived last week.
