Jace has been charged with two felony counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child.

AceShowbiz - Jason "Jace" Alexander, the director of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", was arrested on child pornography charges. Jace was charged with two felony counts, one count of promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced on Wednesday, July 29.

According to Janet, Jace was arrested for "possessing and file-sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children less than seventeen years of age" after an investigator from Westchester County DA's office traced a July 24 download of child pornography to an IP address assigned from Jace's home.

The DA's office said in a statement, "A forensic examination of computers and external hard drives removed from the location revealed digital files of children who are less than sixteen years of age engaged in child pornography."

Jace, who was elected as the second vice-president of the Directors Guild of America back in June, faces up to seven years in state prison if convicted. He has posted his bail which was set at $10,000 and is expected to appear in court on November 19. His rep hasn't responded to any request for comment.
