Tommy Lee Jones Joins Matt Damon in 'Bourne 5'

The 'Homesman' actor is rumored to play a role similarly played by Edward Norton, Chris Cooper, Brian Cox, and David Strathairn in the past movies.

AceShowbiz - "Bourne 5" adds "Men in Black" star Tommy Lee Jones to the cast ensemble. Variety reports the 68-year-old actor is expected to play a superior officer at the CIA in the next Jason Bourne movie which will see Matt Damon returning as the male lead. The likes Edward Norton, Chris Cooper, Brian Cox, and David Strathairn played similar roles in the past installments.

Paul Greengrass ("The Bourne Supremacy", "The Bourne Ultimatum") is back at the helm and Julia Stiles from the original trilogy is expected to reprise her role. Alicia Vikander is in talks to join the cast and Viggo Mortensen is rumored for a villainous role.

Tommy Lee Jones was last seen in period drama "The Homesman" which he also directed. He will next appear in action thriller "Criminal" which stars Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds. The untitled Bourne film is due July 29, 2016.
