The 'Furious 7' actor will likely play a corrections officer to Terrence Howard's Lucious Lyon, who will seemingly spend quite some time in prison in the next season.

AceShowbiz - Another A-lister is added to the cast of season 2 of "Empire". Ludacris revealed that he's appearing on the FOX hit series when it returns this fall by posting on Instagram a photo of him posing with Terrence Howard.

"This could get interesting..... #empireseason2," he captioned it. Based on the uniform he's wearing in the image, the rapper/actor will probably play a corrections officer to Howard's character Lucious Lyon, who was sent to jail at the end of season 1 for murder.

"Empire" season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, September 23. A 30-second trailer was debuted earlier this week, offering glimpses at Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) visiting Lucious in prison and Jamal (Jussie Smollett) performing in front of a huge sign that reads, "#freelucious."

Other names having been tapped for the next installment include Kelly Rowland who will portray Lucious' mother, Marisa Tomei, Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Adam Rodriguez among others.
