"Fuller House" will focus on the pregnant and recently widowed DJ Tanner and her three kids, along with her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and neighbor Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Employed as a vet, pregnant and recently widowed, and living in San Francisco, Tanner asks her best friend Kimmy and her sister Stephanie to come help her raise her kids. It will be preceded by a one-hour reunion.

John Stamos, Lori Loughlin and Dave Coulier will also return for the new series. Although Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen won't be back for the spin-off, Sweetin said in June that their character Michelle Tanner "is still going to have a presence" on the show.

The 12-episode sitcom is slated to debut in 2016.
