Executive producer Wendy Mericle says there have been talks about bringing Matt Ryan's John Constantine to The CW's series.

AceShowbiz - "Constantine" couldn't find a new home after being canceled by NBC, but there's a glimpse of hope that Matt Ryan's John Constantine may continue to live on on another TV series. "Arrow" executive producer Wendy Mericle recently told IGN at Comic-Con that there had been talks about bringing Constantine to upcoming season 4 of The CW's series.

"Yeah, we really want to do it. It's something we've been talking to DC about," Mericle said, before adding that there were some issues they needed to work out first. "It's just a question of some political things, but also the actor's schedule. We're trying to work it out, but we don't know 100 percent if it's going to happen."

Stephen Amell who plays Oliver Queen a.k.a. the titular vigilante has the same wish, chiming in, "Fingers crossed." Mericle then added, "But we're really optimistic and we would love to have him."

How Constantine would be brought into "Arrow" is still unclear, but it won't be hard to introduce the demon-fighting detective since The CW's series has had the element of mysticism. The previous season featured the Lazarus Pit which could heal people.
