Comic-Con: 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Unveils TIE Fighter

'The Force Awakens' panel at San Diego Comic-Con unveiled new toy products, a TIE Fighter and its pilot, which will be released in the 'Star Wars' Hasbro Black Series line.

AceShowbiz - Hundreds of "Star Wars" fans took over Hall H, waiting in line for surprise from the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" panel. The long wait was worth it as Hasbro revealed "The Force Awakens" action figures and vehicles.

The famous toy line unveiled the First Order TIE Fighter and Elite TIE Fighter Pilot. The TIE fighter is quite huge and will be released in the "Star Wars" Hasbro Black Series line. It is 26 inches large and the size of the cockpit is comparable to human's head. Meanwhile, the elite TIE fighter pilot comes with a blaster. The high-in-demand product will sell for $169.99 when it's released.

TIE fighter is a fictional starfighter or a space battleship in the "Star Wars" universe. It appeared in the original trilogy, "Episode IV- A New Hope", "Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back", "Episode VI - Return of the Jedi" and other expanded universe.

Additionally, the official website of "Star Wars" shared pictures of some of the new toys which are originated from video games and animated TV series. Some of them are Darth Revan, the lead from role-playing video game series "Knights of the Old Republic", and Sabine Wren from "Star Wars Rebels" animated TV series.

Also joining the Black series are a new Luke Skywalker and both Kanan and Ahsoka from "Rebels". As for Jango Fett and new Force FX lightsabers will come out later this year.

Aside from Hasbro toy line, "The Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams gave donuts to hungry fans who were waiting in line outside Hall H. The auditorium has a seating capacity of 6,100, and approximately 5000 of fans had been waiting in line for the panel for at least 24 hours ahead of the event.

Produced by Abrams alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Bryan Burk, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will arrive in U.S. theaters on December 18. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher reprise their roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia respectively.
