AceShowbiz - Vanessa Williams was all smiles with now-husband Jim Skrip during their wedding ceremony on the Fourth of July. The two appeared in matching white for their lavish ceremony in Buffalo, New York.
In new photos obtained by PEOPLE, the former "Ugly Betty" actress looked mesmerizing in a white wedding gown with a veil and high heels of the same hue. Her businessman husband looked handsome in a matching white suit which he paired with black bow tie. The two were seen in a white Rolls-Royce after the ceremony.
Vanessa's daughters, Melanie Jillian and Sasha, were spotted serving as bridesmaids at the wedding ceremony. The 52-year-old actress' mother attended the wedding in a sleeveless sparkling white dress. During the ceremony held at the St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic church, Vanessa's co-stars on "Ugly Betty", Mark Indelicato and Ana Ortiz, were among the guests in attendance.
During the reception held after the ceremony, Vanessa changed her dress to golden embellished dress. The "You Are Everything" songtress told the magazine that she felt "magnificent ... like an Egyptian goddess, which was exactly the theme I was going for." The venue for the reception, The Statler City banquet, was transformed into Egypt-like venue with gold and ivory tents, Moroccan lanterns and colorful flowers. Their Egyptian-themed nuptials was inspired by their love story as they first met in Egypt three years ago.
Vanessa surprised Jim with a cover of Show Boat's "Bill", which the actress rewrote into a song called "My Jim" during the party. The newlyweds stayed on the dance floor with some celeb guests, including Tony Plana, Christopher Gorham and Teri Hatcher, until 2 A.M. "We had a polka band and ended up doing shots of Krupnik with everybody. Then after that it was a dance party!" Vanessa said.
