AceShowbiz - The recently announced "Star Wars" standalone movie focusing on Han Solo may have found its lead actor. Following the official announcement made by Lucasfilm that Chris Miller and Phil Lord would direct the project, Aaron Paul has seemingly confirmed long-running rumors about his casting as Han Solo.

The actor, best known for his role as Jesse Pinkman on AMC's "Breaking Bad", just posted on his Instagram a picture of the "Star Wars" official Twitter profile along with a caption which read, "My dreams are coming true. #StarWars." He, however, didn't mention whether he's excited about the movie being in the works or his involvement in the project. It's also unclear which "Star Wars" movie he referred to in the Instagram post.

Rumors of Paul's casting as Han Solo first emerged in late 2014. Responding to the reports, the "Need for Speed" star tweeted in January, "Who's starting these rumors? This one is actually making me believe I have a job in 2015. Very exciting. #StarWars."

The untitled stand-alone Star Wars film II which will focus on an origin story about young Han Solo has tapped Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon Kasdan to pen the script. The movie is targeted for a May 25, 2018 release in the U.S.
