The director promises fans 'an epic, massive, huge, multipower slugfest' in the upcoming 'Fantastic Four' reboot which will arrive on August 7.

AceShowbiz - While Marvel's superhero movie "The Fantastic Four" won't hit big screens until August 7, director Josh Trank has revealed something which fans can expect from the movie. The director says that there will be an epic battle between the titular team and a super-skilled villain.

The Four, who gain unique abilities through interdimensional accident, will use their natural power to combat Victor von Doom (Toby Kebbell) in the film. "The audience should expect an epic, massive, huge, multipower slugfest," Trank says. "This movie is big. A lot of stakes," he adds.

Trank relates the movie to the idea in "Chronicle", his 2012 big-screen debut about three teens who gained unique abilities. " 'Chronicle' was all about the discovery and evolution of those powers," Trank says. "This is like, 'What if it's a couple years later and it sucks?' "

Meanwhile, co-screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg says about the upcoming reboot, "I get the skepticism going into it because the previous movies weren't very good. It's a very hard title to crack."

The "Fantastic Four" reboot centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe and alter their physical form in shocking ways. Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell star as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), and Ben Grimm (The Thing) respectively.
