NBC announces they will air a repeat of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' as the host is recovering from a hand injury.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Fallon suffers from a hand injury, resulting in the cancellation of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" taping. NBC plans to air a repeat in order to give the comedian time to recuperate after he had a minor surgery.

The cancellation was announced on Twitter. The episode was supposed to feature Benicio del Toro, Taylor Kitsch, and Penn & Teller as guests. Ticket holders for the canceled taping will have to reschedule their visit.

"Hey guys - unfortunately tonight's taping has been cancelled due to Jimmy injuring his hand. He's totally fine but we'll be airing a repeat. If you had tickets to tonight's show, we'll be in contact with you to reschedule your tix."

An NBC rep said Fallon "fell and hurt his hand." The comedian is hospitalized in New York City. His publicist Claire Mercuri told USA Today he "required to have minor surgery after injuring his hand at his Manhattan apartment this morning. He is expected to make a full recovery."
