The 'Birdman' actor is attached to star and produce the adaptation of Boom! comic books set up at Fox.

AceShowbiz - Michael Keaton, the former Batman and recent Birdman, is developing an actual comic book movie. Michael is set to produce and star in the adaptation of Boom! Studios comic series "Imagine Agents" set up at Fox.

Michael is producing the project along with Anonymous Content's Michael Sugar and Boom!'s Ross Richie. Stephen Christy of Boom! along with Eli Selden and Doug Wald of Anonymous Content will serve as executive producers while Adam Yoelin and Ashley Zalta will co-produce.

Fox has just acquired the rights to "Imagine Agents" and is now out to writers to adapt the material.

Created by writer Brian Joines and artist Bachan, "Imagine Agents" is about a sort of a "Men in Black"-like organization (I.M.A.G.I.N.E.) which keeps tracks of children's imaginary friends. The comic tells "a jaded 20-year veteran agent who must mentor a young archivist, with a routine day becoming something much larger."

Michael will next be seen in upcoming drama "Spotlight", released on November 6, Ray Kroc's biopic "The Founder", released on November 25, 2016 and "Kong: Skull Island", released on March 10, 2017.
