AceShowbiz - CBS has announced the cast of "Big Brother" season 17. Unlike the previous season which hosted 16 contestants, the upcoming installment will include 14 houseguests, raising speculation that there will be surprise houseguests.
Among the announced cast are poker dealer Da'Vonne Rogers, professional wrestler Austin Matelson and professional poker player Vanessa Rousso. There's also Audrey Middleton, a Digital Media Consultant who is reportedly the first transgender contestant on the show.
According to TMZ, Audrey grew up in a small Georgia town as a boy. At the beginning, her family was unable to accept her decision to transition several years ago, but now they are fully supportive.
The self-proclaimed "Big Brother" super fan says of her strategy, "I will not float. I will make bold moves and I will get blood on my hands. Heads will roll!" She compares herself to Dexter Morgan.
The new season of "Big Brother" kicks off with a two-night premiere on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25 at 8 P.M. ET on CBS. Julie Chen returns as the host.
