AceShowbiz - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently swipesided a parked pickup truck in Wakefield, Massachusetts. The 43-year-old actor took to Instagram on Monday, June 15, to share with fans about the incident which he dubbed "a fun story."
The story was written as a caption for an Instagram picture. The picture showed Dwayne with a man standing next to a car which had a broken side mirror. "Here's a fun story to start your week off," the "San Andreas" actor wrote in the caption for the picture. "I'm driving to set in my pick up truck - music blasting - I'm singing away like I'm having a one man party in my truck - then I hear a loud BANG." He then realized that he had just swipesided a pickup truck which was parked on the street, and broken the side mirror of the truck.
Instead of running away from the scene, the actor made his way back to that truck. As the truck's owner came, he explained the incident and expressed his intention to give compensation. Dwayne said, "You give me your info and I'll leave you mine and I'll take care of everything." The truck's owner whose name is Audie Bridges unexpectedly replied with the question, "Uhhh.. Are you The Rock?" Dwayne simply answered, "Yup." Audie then said, "Wow, this is gonna be an awesome story!" Both of them then laughed on the the street pointing at the broken mirror. Dwayne described themselves as "two ol' crazy buddies."
A few days after the incident, Dwayne went back to Audie to give the compensation. However, the Wakefield resident "refused to accept any money and said he fixed the damage himself." Touched by Audie's gesture, the actor wrote, "Want to thank Mr. Audie Bridges of Wakefield, Mass. for being so cool about the whole thing."
"Life is funny cause you never know who you're gonna run into... and sure as hell never know who's truck you're gonna sideswipe while driving to work," the "Furious 7" actor concluded his lengthy note.
Audie told the Boston Globe that the incident happened a month ago and the actor didn't do much damage to his truck so that he could fix the mirror by himself.
The actor has been in town filming "Central Intelligence", an action comedy which also stars Kevin Hart, Aaron Paul and Amy Ryan.
