The 'Safety Not Guaranteed' director explains the future plans for a possible fifth 'Jurassic Park' movie, saying that it may bring back the idea of dinosaur proliferation.

AceShowbiz - Writer-director Colin Trevorrow teased fans about the future plans for a possible "Jurassic World" sequel. In an interview with Cinema Blend, he revealed some details about his ideas for an upcoming sequel, including the plot and the theme of the movie.

Trevorrow talked about the ending of the movie which left open a potential sequel. "I feel like that was something that we did in terms of plot that opens up a potential sequel, but I think there's things that we did in terms of theme that might be more viable," he said.

The director also opened up about what was being removed from the movie. "There's actually a line we cut from the movie, and sometimes I wonder if I should have... but in that scene with B.D. Wong and Irrfan Kahn, he used to say, 'How long do you think you can control it? We won't always be the only ones who can make a dinosaur,' " he explained.

Moreover, the director hinted that there's a possibility to bring back the concept of proliferation of technology to a future "Jurassic Park" movie. "I thought, that idea, I want to hold it, but that idea to me is a big idea and you know? When we look at various technologies, they go open source at some point, and they proliferate - and I think of a world... a Jurassic World," he said.

He added, "I changed the title for a reason. It's not just the name of a theme park, where we coexist with these animals in the way that we do now with other animals in the planet. Don't go into the jungle! There's raptors in there! And so there are all kinds of interests who have the ability to make these animals for various needs and purposes. There is potential there." However, it is still unclear if Trevorrow will return to the possible sequel or not. He once said that he had a plan to return to the film franchise after all.

While "Jurassic World" had an incredible opening at box office, some fans were not happy about the movie plot. They said that the movie tried so hard to set things for a sequel instead of focusing on being a great standalone movie like the first "Jurassic Park".
