The CW's hit series is casting the role of 'a classically handsome, square-jawed hero in his 30s to early 40s.'

AceShowbiz - The Flash will be joined by a new hero in season 2. The show is reportedly currently looking for an actor to portray a classically handsome, square-jawed hero in his 30s to early 40s, a slightly cynical man "with an edge," who is expected to stick around throughout the second season.
According to TVLine, the casting call lists the character as John Clark. While there's no character named John Clark in the DC Comics universe, it's presumed that the name is a nod to the DC Comics letterer, who worked on books like "All-Star Squadron" and "Infinity, Inc.".
"The Flash" will additionally give Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) a.k.a. the titular hero a new love interest in season 2. It was previously reported that the show's casting for a role of Wendy, a "spunky, fun and funny" romantic interest for the titular hero's alter ego. A cop for the Central City PD, Wendy is described as bright and scientific-minded and is similar in some ways to Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) from "Arrow".
The drama series airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW in its sophomore run.
