The Duggars Investigated Again by DHS in May, Police Called

An Arkansas Department of Human Services worker called 911 when denied access to a minor in the '19 Kids and Counting' family.

AceShowbiz - The Duggars faced a new investigation, just days after police records about Josh Duggar's sexual misconduct from when he was a juvenile came to light. They got a visit from the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) in May regarding a minor living in the family house.

According to a scoop from In Touch Weekly, a 911 call was made when the "19 Kids and Counting" family refused to cooperate. A DHS worker allegedly asked for police's assistance after the conservative family denied access to the concerned minor during the May 27 visit.

"Well, we're Washington County DHS office we're out here to, we have an investigation, and I guess they're not being cooperative. We have to see the child to make sure the child is all right. So we just need police assistance or escort," the worker said in the alleged 911 transcript.

There is no further information about the new issue faced by the TLC reality show family. The Washington County Sheriff's Office did not return a request for comment while the Arkansas DHS told FOX411, "In Arkansas all child maltreatment investigations are confidential by law."

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar recently sat down with Fox News' Megyn Kelly to talk about the molestation allegations against their oldest son Josh. Their daughters, Jessa and Jill, came forward as two of the victims. They discussed the first DHS investigation they endured years ago.

Jessa said, "I think definitely like when we were doing the DHS investigation and they're asking you to tell your story - I mean, it's one thing to talk to mom and dad and say, 'Wow, okay, this happened,' you know, but it's another thing when a complete stranger is like, 'Tell me your story here.' "

Jill claimed DHS was impressed with the way their parents handled the situation. "Even when we went through the DHS investigation, they complimented my parents on what an amazing job they did through that process ... As a mom, I hope that I can set the same safeguards in my family that they did," she said.

Jim and Michelle didn't immediately report to police when learning about Josh's misconduct. Instead, they took him to church elders and sent him to a training program founded by Bill Gothard who later faced sexual harassment accusations himself. Josh was never charged when police was eventually brought in to the case. He only got a "stern talk" from Arkansas State Trooper Jim Hutchens who ironically is now serving 56-year prison sentence for child pornography.
