AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber entered a guilty plea to assault and careless driving charges stemming from an altercation with a photographer in his home country of Canada last year. He appeared via video in a Stratford, Ontario courtroom during the hearing.
The 21-year-old singer was originally charged with dangerous driving but it was reduced to careless driving as part of a plea deal with local prosecutors. He was ordered to play a $750 fine for careless driving and received an absolute discharge on an assault conviction.
Bieber was riding an All Terrain Vehicle with then-girlfriend Selena Gomez during a "peaceful retreat" during a Labor Day weekend when shutterbugs disrupted him. His vehicle collided with the car driven by a paparazzo and they were involved in a scuffle.
During the court date, Justice Kathryn McKerlie of the Stratford Court of Justice told Bieber, "The lesson in all of this is to think before you act in the future."
