The One Direction singer broke up with the Australian beauty after only three months of dating because of distance, a source told The Sun.

AceShowbiz - Niall Horan has reportedly broken up with his Australian student girlfriend Melissa Whitelaw. A source told The Sun that the couple decided to split after three months of dating because they couldn't maintain a long-distance relationship.
"Niall and Melissa did well to keep their romance low-profile during their time together. They were really close and had fun whenever they went out together," the source told the news outlet.
"But realistically they always knew it was going to be tough, keeping a relationship going with such distance between them," the source added. "He now intends to focus totally on the band."
The twosome are said to have been romantically linked since February, when Niall and his One Direction partners were on their Australian tour. Their romance was first known by public after a fan snapped some pics of them getting affectionate at a bar over Valentine's Day weekend.
"I saw it and it was more than one time. They're kissing in the photos, there's a girl's head in the way," the fan said about the pics she shared on Twitter.
Two months later, Niall reportedly brought Melissa to the U.K. and introduced her to all of his bandmates. "Melissa met the rest of [One Direction] on tour, when she first grew close to Niall," another source said at that time.
"But after flying over to spend time with him [recently], they now see her as his girlfriend," the second source added. "She attended the Great Gatsby-themed charity ball - arranged by Liam's girlfriend Sophia [Smith] - with Niall, as his plus-one."
Amid the break-up reports, Niall is rumored to be dating Jose Mourinho's daughter Matilde Mourinho after the pair were spotted partying together in London until the early hours of Monday, June 1.
"Niall and Matilde have known each other for a while, but they've been spending more time together recently while he's in London on a break from his world tour," a source told Mirror. "Niall is friends with Jose, and is a real football fan, as is Matilde, so they get on really well."
Contrary to the dating rumors, a rep for Niall told the website, "They are just friends."
