Colin Trevorrow Will Not Direct 'Jurassic World 2'
Movie

The director confirmed that he would not direct the next installment of the 'Jurassic Park' series, but he would still be involved in other capacity.

AceShowbiz - While Universal Pictures has not officially announced a "Jurassic World" sequel, director Colin Trevorrow knows at least one thing for sure about the possible follow-up movie. At the Paris, France world premiere of the movie, he confirmed that he would not direct any other installment in the movie franchise.

In an interview with BadTaste.it, the director made it clear that he would not helm a possible "Jurassic World" sequel. " 'Jurassic Park' is like 'Star Wars'. Different directors can give a different taste to each movie," Trevorrow said. But, it doesn't mean that the director will not be involved in the supposed follow-up movie at all. "I would be involved in some way, but not as director," the director added.

"Jurassic World" is set 22 years after the first film, 1993's "Jurassic Park". Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor's interest, which backfires horribly.

"Jurassic World" will open in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on June 12 in the U.S. It stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins, Judy Greer, Irrfan Khan and Omar Sy.
