Funny or Die Parodies Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's Ignorant Statement
Celebrity

On the parody, Michelle says that Josh and his parents are 'the only three people affected by these mistakes,' ignoring the victims of the molestation.

AceShowbiz - Funny or Die team doesn't want to miss the moment to deliver their own take on the molestation scandal by one of the Duggar family members, Josh Duggar. The skit, however, focused on Jim Bob Duggar and wife Michelle Duggar, whose earlier statement overstated the scandal's effect to Josh rather than to the victims.

The parody opened the skit with hilarious introduction by each character. While the fake Michelle Duggar introduced herself as the "baby factory for the Duggar family," the Jim Bob Duggar impersonator said that he was the one to tell people that "crash plane has nothing to do with birth control."

"We would like to talk to you, America, because our son Josh is in a pickle," Michelle began the statement. Jim Bob followed it by comparing the number of NBA team to the number of children in his family in explaining why they had a troubled son. "With more kids than an NBA team we were bound to have one troubled kid," so Jim Bob said.

Michelle continued to describe what mistakes their son did. She said that "he mistaked two girls on their tutu," which, as Jim Bob explained, referred to breast. The first time they received a report about the molestation, they admitted that they acted skeptical. Michelle said, "When we were first told about Josh's mistakes, we did the right thing and we ignored the girl who came forward." Jim Bob claimed that it was because girls "lie all the time."

"Here's the thing, some other girls did come forward and some of them were our daughters, but honestly if you asked me which one I don't know... the brunette with the curly hair?" so Michelle explained. Jim Bob admitted that they covered the scandal for several years as he said, "We did the right thing and immediately waited three years before we called the authorities." After talking about the past incident, they came to praise their son, Josh, who was doing godly work by making Americans aware about the "dangers of homosexuality."

Furthermore, they criticized In Touch magazine for revealing the scandal. They confessed that only Josh and them who were affected by the incident. "It's been terrible for us. And Josh. But those are the only three people affected by these mistakes," Michelle said.

On the final note, they made a threatening, yet hilarious, statement about the action they were going to take. "All you sinners out there, for every baby you make, the Duggars are going to make two," Jim Bob threatened.

The parody clearly mocked the Duggar parents following the statement they made regarding the scandal. After the news about the scandal broke on Tuesday, May 19, the parents made a statement which underscored the impact the incident had on their son. They didn't even address the effect it had on the victims.
