Some advertisers have decided to cut ties with the TLC reality series about the Duggars after molestation allegations against the eldest son emerged.

AceShowbiz - TLC may need to reconsider the future of its show "19 Kids and Counting" amid the molestation allegation scandal involving the eldest son of the family, Josh Duggar. Four advertisers have pulled out of the reality TV series, putting pressure to the network to cancel the show.

Retailers Walgreen Co WALG34.SA, Payless ShoeSource Inc, and hotel chain group Choice Hotels International Inc followed the footsteps of General Mills Inc to remove their ads from the program on Tuesday, May 26. Some of the companies took to social media sites to announce their decision.

Choice Hotels respond to a consumer's complaint on Twitter, "@moaevil Thank you for reaching out. We share your concerns and we have decided to remove our advertising from the show." Payless ShoeSource also took to its own Twitter to address the issue, "@SweetBabbyJesus Our ads ran during this show as part of a larger buy w/ TLC. We are taking steps to have them removed from future episodes."

A spokesperson for Walgreens also said on Facebook on Tuesday, "In the wake of recent news, we are no longer advertising on the '19 Kids and Counting' program."

TLC yanked "19 Kids and Counting" off schedule last Friday after Josh Duggar released a statement apologizing for his "inexcusable" behavior. He's accused of sexually molesting minor girls, including his sister, as a teen. Recently, it was reported that the network considered to continue the show without Josh.

Feeling that they were treated unfairly when being in a similar situation as the Duggars, June Shannon a.k.a. Mama June of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is demanding that her show is brought back after TLC canceled it in October 2014 after reports surfaced that Mama June dated convicted child molester Mark McDaniel. Her attorney gave the demand on Friday and will file the lawsuit if the network doesn't respond by next week, TMZ reports.
