The 'San Andreas' actor officiated a surprise wedding ceremony for comedian Nick Mundy and his fiancee Dilara Karabas on Saturday, May 16.

AceShowbiz - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson surprised his superfan comedian Nick Mundy on Saturday, May 16. Sporting American flag pants, Nick originally planned to film a bit with Dwayne at the press junket for "San Andreas". But Nick later found out Dwayne was not going to have an interview with him but the actor would officiate a wedding for him and his fiancee Dilara Karabas.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nick said he was honored to have Dwayne be a part of his special day. "My first thought was, 'Oh s**t, oh s**t. I hope Dilara is cool with this,' " he shared. "The second one was, 'I have hat hair, I'm sweating and wearing American flag pants.' And then my best man and writing partner threw my jacket on me, and the next thing I know, the Rock was walking me down the aisle and the music was starting and I signed the marriage license. The whole thing was insane."

Nick first met Dwayne back in 2013 when Screen Junkies sent him to "Pain & Gain" junket in Miami. At that time, he was so starstruck with Dwayne that he could barely get through his interviews with Dwayne, Mark Wahlberg and Tony Shalhoub. Nick and Dwayne later developed a tradition of performing bits together. At their last meeting, Nick asked Dwayne to be his best man but the actor politely declined.

Screen Junkies and Dilara spent months secretly arranging the nuptials after Dwayne agreed to be a part of it. At first, the "Furious 7" actor was asked to be Nick's best man, but instead he wanted to marry the couple and wanted to become ordained to make it legal.

Screen Junkies producer Andy Signore told the site, "Dwayne was very adamant that Nick's fiancee Dilara was involved the whole way in every step. That she approved everything. He wanted to make sure that this was her day and not just a silly thing we were doing with Nick. We wouldn't have done it if Dilara hadn't really wanted to do this, too. So she was super into it and thought it was super fun."

Nick and Dilara planned to have a wedding ceremony which was originally scheduled for September 6 for family and friends.
