Two official pictures of the highly anticipated movie adaptation reveal the orc leader Orgrim Doomhammer.

AceShowbiz - Universal and Legendary Pictures have released the first official pictures of the upcoming adaptation of the hit videogame, "Warcraft". The two images feature one of the important characters in the film, the orc leader Orgrim Doomhammer.

Orgrim is played by actor Robert Kazinsky ("Pacific Rim", "True Blood"). The stills present Orgrim with a big body and two enormous teeth that come out of his mouth. The visual effect of Orgrim was the work of Industrial Light and Magic who took concept art from Blizzard Entertainment, creators of "World of Warcraft" videogame franchise on which the film is based. They did it by merging the orc with photographs and scans of Kazinsky.

"We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character," director Duncan Jones explained why he chose Kazinsky to play Orgrim. "We've gone beyond the point where these are just creatures in movies. We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters entirely," he added.

The movie finished the filming about a year ago but its release was pushed back from March 11 to June 10, 2016. The specific story of the film is still underwraps but rumors said that it would be about the first meeting between orcs and humans, who become sworn enemies as different races of fantasy creatures band together to form the two factions, The Horde and The Alliance.

Ben Foster leads the cast which also includes Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper, Daniel Wu and Clancy Brown. The script was written by Charles Leavitt and rewritten by Jones.
