Author Dream Hampton launched a series of Twitter posts claiming that Jay-Z and Beyonce secretly 'wired tens of thousands' of dollars to cover Baltimore and Ferguson's protesters' bail.

AceShowbiz - Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce Knowles reportedly donated a huge amount of money to bail out protesters arrested in Baltimore riots. Dream Hampton, activist and writer who collaborated with Jay-Z on his autobiography book "Decoded", revealed the report in a series of Twitter posts on Sunday, May 17.

At the beginning of the tweets, Hampton wrote, "I'm going to tweet this and I don't care if Jay gets mad." She later continued, "When we needed money for bail for Baltimore protesters, I asked, hit Jay up, as I had for Ferguson [and he] wired tens of thousands of dollars within mins."

According to Hampton, Jay-Z who reportedly became an essential supporter for "Black Lives Matter" movement also "wrote a huge check" to help the group build "infrastructure." Hampton said that the couple backed the protest action in multiple ways but most of them were "financially."

The writer later erased all the posts as she thought Jay-Z "would be pi-issed to see I was offering evidence" that he took action in the Baltimore riots as he always insisted "folk keep quiet" about it. Though so, Hampton later assured that the reports were all "true."

"It's true. I erased because I didn't want on Twitter," she told the Daily News via email. "I can say I've personally helped facilitate donations they've given to protesters directly and that they never ask for anything in return, especially publicity."

The series of tweets were apparently meant to defend Jay-Z and Beyonce against accusations from some activists that they never made a real action to take part in the movement which aimed at stopping police brutality.
