A rep for Rock in Rio explains that Taylor Swift's camp didn't allow them to live-broadcast her performance on the internet.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift's Rock in Rio concert in Las Vegas was not live-streamed after the singer abruptly pulled the plug on the online broadcast. A spokesperson for the concert told Billboard that it was "a decision from management" not to air her performance on the internet.

Yahoo! initially announced that Swift's performance would be available for live-stream along with performances by other musical guests like Ed Sheeran, Jessie J, and Charli XCX. It's later clarified, "Sorry for any confusion @taylorswift13 Rock in Rio show will not live streamed."

Taylor Swift often goes to great lengths to protect her artistry. She boldly removed her entire music catalog from Spotify because she believed the streaming site didn't "fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists and creators" of music. She also has trademarked memorable lyrics from her "1989" album, including the line "This Sick Beat" from her hit single "Shake It Off".

Swift was a closing act on Rock in Rio Friday. She kicked off her set with "Welcome to New York". "Good evening, Las Vegas," she greeted the crowd. "We begin our story in New York." She also collaborated with Sheeran to celebrate their third "friendaversary." Her other famous friends like Lena Dunham and Selena Gomez popped up on videos.

She will perform her latest single "Bad Blood" at Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada on Sunday, May 17. She will also premiere the star-studded music video at the event. It stars Hayley Williams, Zendaya Coleman, Lily Aldridge, Ellie Goulding, Gigi Hadid, Hailee Steinfeld, Kendrick Lamar, Karlie Kloss, Jessica Alba, Ellen Pompeo, Mariska Hargitay, Cindy Crawford, and Cara Delevingne.
