The 'American Sniper' actor is expected to play a recurring role as Eddie Morra on the new TV series to be directed by Marc Webb.

AceShowbiz - Bradley Cooper is coming to TV. The Oscar-nominated actor is set to reprise his role on a new TV series based on his 2011 movie thriller "Limitless". The project has got a series commitment from CBS with Marc Webb ("The Amazing Spider-Man") directing the pilot.

In the original movie, Cooper played Eddie Morra who found himself able to learn faster and recall memories from his distant past after taking a mysterious drug NZT. He is expected to have a recurring role on the series. His character, now a senator climbing his way to become President of the United States, mentors a guy who just came across NZT.

The TV version will focus on the new guy named Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) who is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI. He works with Agent Rebecca Harris (Jennifer Carpenter), a formidable investigator with a dark past, and Agent Boyle (Hill Harper), a former military officer. They report to Agent Nasreen "Naz" Pouran (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), a manipulator of the reins of power.

Neil Burger who directed the movie was initially attached to helm the pilot but he had to pull out due to a scheduling conflict with Showtime's "Billions". He, however, will still get involved as a producer along with Cooper and "The Amazing Spider-Man" producers Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci.
