Saying her break-up with Somerhalder was not the reason behind her departure from 'The Vampires Diaries', Dobrev admitted that she was 'happy' with his wedding to Reed.

AceShowbiz - Nina Dobrev broke silence on her former beau Ian Somerhalder's wedding to Nikki Reed since the couple got married last month. The actress said that she's "happy" with the wedding as she denied that her break-up with the actor was the reason behind her departure from "The Vampire Diaries".
Dobrev announced her plan to depart the teen drama show after six years early last month. Since then, many speculated that her decision was prompted by her break-up with Somerhader, who co-stars on the drama with her, in 2013.
During the interview, Dobrev finally confirmed that her decision to leave the TV series had nothing to do with Somerhalder. "I've said this before, that we didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship," Dobrev told the host.
She claimed that they were still good friends, saying, "I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now."
Dobrev also shared her comments on Somerhalder and Reed's recent wedding party. "When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful," so she said of the nuptials. "They look happy and I am happy and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that."
She emphasized, "The drama is in the media, it's not with us. But of course, we're on a teen drama show, everyone's going to look for drama. If there's no drama, there's nothing to write about. I just ignore it." Dobrev will last be seen on "The Vampire Diaries" on Thursday, May 14 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
