Words are, ABC has decided not to move forward with the spin-off which would star Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood.

AceShowbiz - While "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Marvel's Agent Carter" have got renewals, another potential new series from Marvel is reportedly not going to see the light of day. Deadline reports that ABC has decided to put the brakes on an "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." spin-off which would revolve around Adrianne Palicki's Bobbi Morse and Nick Blood's Lance Hunter.

The project, which was quietly developed by "S.H.I.E.L.D." executive producer Jeffrey Bell and co-executive producer Paul Zbyszewski, was reported to be set up by events in the second season of the flagship series. Some fans, however, were not happy that two of the strong characters on the mother show would be taken away.

ABC and Marvel have not commented on the news regarding the status of the "S.H.I.E.L.D." spin-off.

Marvel and ABC are also secretly working on a mysterious superhero TV project with "12 Years a Slave" writer John Ridley. Details of the project are scarce, but it reportedly involves reinventing an existing Marvel superhero character or property.
