Adele tweeted pictures of herself dressing as his idol George Michael and thanked fans for their birthday wishes.

AceShowbiz - Turning 27 years old on Tuesday, May 5, Adele marked her big day by dressing up as vintage 80's George Michael. She then shared the pics on her Twitter account.

The British songstress was unrecognizable as she pulled a number of amazing poses with her hair styled off her face, shades and a George�s goatee. In companion with the tweetpic, she wrote, "Thank you for the birthday wishes I had a wonderful time! I was my hero x #gottahavefaith."

Adele has made no secret of her adoration and love for George. The legendary singer flew into the UK especially to present her with the Best Album award at the Brits back in 2012.

Adele is currently working on her third studio album. The record was initially set to be released this spring, but has been pushed for September release. Exact date has not yet been announced. Having been away from the spotlight for months, the birthday lady was last seen among the many celebs attending Harry Styles� 21st birthday in February.
