The 'Secrets and Lies' actor opens up to radio host Howard Stern that he's in negotiations for a superhero series.

AceShowbiz - Will Ryan Phillippe be the newest Marvel superhero? When asked about his upcoming projects during an interview on Howard Stern's radio show, the 40-year-old actor let it slip about his meeting with Marvel for a Netflix series.

"I've met with...Marvel is interested in talking about a Netflix series, possibly," the father of three told the shock jock without mentioning what show he was in talks for. "The 'Daredevil' series is great," he added, referring to the Charlie Cox starrer.

As his statement started to cause buzz online, the "Secrets and Lies" star quickly played it down on Twitter, "I have no real marvel news other than an upcoming meeting. sorry to disappoint fans thought there was more to it. there is no story there."

Aside from Daredevil, Marvel is also bringing to Netflix "Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones" starring Krysten Ritter; "Iron Fist" which has yet to be cast; "Luke Cage" led by Mike Colter; and "The Defenders" which assembles the main characters from the four shows.
