The 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' star has teamed up with co-star Jeremy Renner to promote a new Feeding America PSA campaign.

AceShowbiz - Scarlett Johansson has teamed up with Jeremy Renner to promote a new PSA campaign for Feeding America. While promoting the campaign, the star of "The Avengers" revealed that her family once relied on assisted lunch program.

"My family grew up relying on public assistance to help provide meals for our family," Scarlett said in a statement, "Child hunger in America is a real and often overlooked problem, but one that together, we can fix. It is my hope that by joining with Feeding America, our awareness of this issue will lead to a solution."

In a promotional video for the campaign, the "Lucy" actress says, "The are 16 million children struggling with hunger in America. That's one in five daughters, sons, neighbors and classmates who don't know where their next meal is coming from, yet billions of pounds of good food go to waste every year. It's time we do something about it." The video encourages people to visit FeedingAmerica.org to help end hunger in the United States.

Jeremy says in another video, "As an American, it's hard to hear that we have a serious hunger issue in our country. And as a parent it's even harder to hear one in five of our kids struggles with hunger, especially when billions of pounds of good food are wasted every year."
