Drake and Alt-J Among Headliners of Inaugural Landmark Festival in D.C.

The Strokes, CHVRCHES, George Ezra, Nate Ruess and Wale are other performers set for the two-day fest that will help raise funds and awareness for National Mall.

AceShowbiz - Drake will be among performers at the first-ever Landmark Festival in Washington D.C. The rapper is headlining the event set to take place at West Potomac Park on September 26-27 along with Alt-J and The Strokes.

The two-day fest will also feature performances from around 40 other artists including CHVRCHES, The War on Drugs, Chromeo, The Kills, Twin Shadow, George Ezra, Wale, Fun.'s Nate Ruess, Albert Hammond Jr. and Rhiannon Giddens. A full line-up is available on the Landmark website. Tickets are on sale now.

The festival will be streamed on Yahoo Screen's Live Nation channel. The event will support Trust with the National Mall's Landmark Campaign which was established to help reinvigorate and renovate the National Mall.

"The Mall holds some of America's most iconic moments," Washington D.C. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton said in a statement of the National Mall which hasn't been renovated in nearly 40 years. "I am excited to see world-renowned artists coming to perform on the Mall to help preserve one of America's most important parks and all that it represents."
