AceShowbiz - A selfie taken by Shahrukh Khan and Zayn Malik has set a retweet record. The now-phenomenal snapshot turned to be the top retweet of all time in terms of messages posted by Indian Twitter users, Twitter India confirmed.
The photo was taken last week when the former singer of One Direction and the Bollywood superstar were having dinner together while at the 2015 Asian Awards in London. In the black-and-white snap, Malik and Khan posed side by side while wearing tuxedos. Khan wrote alongside the snap, "This kid is so cool. May Allah bless him. Dinner time at the Asian Awards."

According to Twitter India, the selfie has crossed 120,000 retweets and has been favorited 170,000 times since Khan shared the snapshot on Friday, April 17. Twitter India tweeted on Saturday, April 18 to confirm the record and congratulate the Indian superstar. "Congrats @iamsrk, this selfie of yours is now the most Retweeted Tweet ever in India!" so the tweet read.
Khan is the Indian personality with the second-highest number of Twitter followers, 12.6 million, coming after Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan who has 14.4 million followers, according to Twitter India.
At the Asian Awards, Khan was honored with the Outstanding Contribution to Cinema award. Meanwhile, Malik received an award for his outstanding contributions to music. The event also marked Malik's first appearance in public since his departure from the pop super group.
