Tyler Perry to Play Baxter Stockman in 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Sequel

In the second 'Ninja Turtles' movie, the 'Gone Girl' actor will play a character known in the comic as the Mouser creator.

AceShowbiz - Tyler Perry is set to join "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2". Variety learns that the actor is tapped to portray Baxter Stockman, joining returning casts Megan Fox and Will Arnett as well as new members Stephen Amell and Alessandra Ambrosio.

In the comics, Stockman is usually depicted as a scientist who works for Shredder played by William Fichtner in the first movie. He is the mastermind behind the infamous Mousers created to eradicate sewer rats. Mutant fly is another incarnation of the character.

Dave Green ("Earth to Echo") is expected to direct the second "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie which is scheduled for June 3, 2016. Michael Bay returns as a producer, and Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec will write the script once again.

The storyline hasn't been revealed, but Bebop and Rocksteady will be brought to the big screen for the sequel. The two are mutated warthog and rhino who are responsible for the shocking death of one of the Ninja Turtles in the latest issue of the comic book.
