AceShowbiz - Creating media abuzz with his controversial Instagram picture, Michael Buble wastes no time to issue an apology. On Friday, April 17, he issued a formal statement of apology, saying, "Anybody who knows me would never misinterpret the message of the photo my wife took in Miami that seems to have caused unexpected rage by some people."
"I do not court controversy," he continued. "But I realize that a photo that was meant to be complimentary and lighthearted has turned into a questionable issue." He furthermore stated, "For the record, It hurts me deeply that anyone would think that I would disrespect women or be insulting to any human being. I was not brought up that way and it is not in my character. I regret that there are people out there who found the photo offensive. That was not and is not my intention." At the end of his statement, Buble concluded, "Women are to be celebrated, loved, respected, honored and revered. I've spent my life believing that and will continue to do so."
Buble caused outrage over an Instagram photo he shared earlier this week that captured a woman's backside. The snap, taken by his wife Luisana Lopilato, showed him posing cheekily while a woman behind him showed a little too much skin. "There was something about this photo lu took ,that seemed worthy of instagram.#myhumps #babygotback #hungryshorts #onlyinmiami #picoftheday #beautifulbum," the 39-year-old singer captioned the photo. Some people, in fact, slammed him. They accused him of being sexist and body-shaming for sharing the picture of a stranger without her consent.
