'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' May Already Have Title
Movie

According to a new issue of Production Weekly, the sequel of the superhero movie will be called 'Guardians 3000'.

AceShowbiz - A new report from Production Weekly suggests that the sequel of "Guardians of the Galaxy" may have its official title. The trade magazine provides a list of titles for currently-in-production projects and it mentions "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" a.k.a. "Guardians 3000".

"Guardians 3000" is also the name of ongoing Marvel Comics series that focuses on the original Guardians team which includes Yondu, who is played by Michael Rooker in the first movie, Vance Astro a.k.a Major Victory, Martinex, Charlie 27 and Starhawk. Director James Gunn previously said that at least one more Guardian from the comics should appear in the film sequel.

When attending the premiere of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" on Sunday, April 12, James told Vulture that "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" would be about fatherhood. "There's a lot of stuff I'm excited about in the new movie," he said, "Listen, I'm still excited about Star-Lord's character and where he goes. At its heart, 'Guardians' is a story about families, and if the first film was about him and his mother, this is a story about fathers. So it's exciting to go there."

He added, "I knew for a long time what the story of the second one was gonna be," before teasing, "And the third one!"

"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will have its original cast members like Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper be back in their respective roles. The movie will start filming in February 2016 for a May 5, 2017 release.
