The new full-length teaser was debuted at 'Star Wars' Celebration in Anaheim attended by director J.J. Abrams and some cast members, including Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Peter Mayhew.

AceShowbiz - Die-hard fans got to see a new teaser for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" at "Star Wars" Celebration which kicked off on Thursday, April 16 in Anaheim Convention Center. Those who could not attend the event, however, can now get a glimpse at the movie as well since the sneak-peek video has been made available online.

Still not shedding light on the plotline, the approximately 2-minute snippet gives a look at the wreckage of a star destroyer, X-Wing battles, the Millennium Falcon, Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) running on a desert dodging danger, the villainous Kylo Ren wielding lightsaber and many others. But the most exciting part is possibly when Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) show up at the end of the video. "Chewie...we're home," Han says.

At the convention, director J.J. Abrams revealed that the desert landscape seen in the video was the planet Jakku, not Tatooine as seen in previous films. The particular scene was filmed in Abu Dhabi. It's "a Western and a fairy tale as much as anything else," he said of the movie.

Ridley, who attended the event along with co-stars Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, said her character Rey is a scavenger who is completely self-sufficient and solitary until she meets another character. Isaac, meanwhile, described his character Poe Dameron, an X-Wing pilot, as "the best freaking pilot in the whole galaxy."

Ford, who was recently involved in a plane crash, did not attend the event, but producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy assured fans that "he's home and resting and getting well ... Han Solo will be very actively involved in what we're doing when we open."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens", the seventh installment in the film franchise, is due December 18 in the States. Other stars in the cast ensemble include Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis and Gwendoline Christie.

The 2015 "Star Wars" Celebration will run until Sunday, April 19.
