The song, which is now at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100, sets two Spotify records for the most streams in a single day with 4.2 million listens and the most streams in a single week in 26 countries.

AceShowbiz - Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's tribute song to Paul Walker, "See You Again", has just shattered two records on Spotify. The track which the two cut for "Furious 7" has broken the record for the most streams in a single day after garnering 4.2 million listens, and the most streams in a single week in 26 countries from April 6 to April 12.

"See You Again", which is played during the most touching scene towards the end of the seventh "Fast and Furious" movie, is currently sitting at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100. It jumps from last week's No. 10 and dethrones Mark Ronson's collaboration with Bruno Mars "Uptown Funk" which had ruled the charts for 14 weeks.

"To have the responsibility to do the Paul Walker record was really dope," Wiz recently told MTV of recording a tribute song to the late actor who passed away in a car crash back in 2013. Of what he had in mind when writing the track, he added, "I basically thought about what the movie stands for as far as family and the brotherhood, and of course, using the metaphor of the last ride and the last race because of that last scene."

Following the worldwide success of both "See You Again" and "Furious 7", the film's soundtrack album has just topped the Billboard 200. The compilation, which also includes contributions from Kid Ink and Iggy Azalea among others, has sold 111,000 equivalent units in its third week on the chart.
