The director of 'Lost River' admitted that he was 'ashamed' when suddenly his phone chirped in the middle of an interview with BBC Breakfast.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Gosling got very embarrassed recently due to a phone-related incident during an interview. He confessed that he was "ashamed" after his cellphone chirped during an interview with BBC to talk about his new movie.

The former child star of Disney Channel's "Mickey Mouse Club" appeared in a Thursday morning, April 9 interview with BBC Breakfast to promote his directorial debut "Lost River". When Gosling was in the middle of conversation about the movie with host Charlie Stayt, he was annoyed by the sound of his own cellphone receiving a new text message.

"Oh my God," the actor exclaimed even before the tone finished chirping while squeezing on the chair uncomfortably.

"It happens... is it an important one?" Stayt asked before Gosling quickly shoved his hand into his right pocket to retrieve the phone and threw it across the room.

"I'm sorry about that - I'm ashamed," he confessed to Stayt, shoving his hands under his thighs nervously. "That could have been the big one!" Stayt teased the flushing actor. "You're being very kind about it, but I'm ...," Gosling answered while shaking his head.

Later, the host asked what the actor's reaction would be if a phone went off while shooting a scene. "Yeah. Just nuts. Just 'Hogan' your shirt off and start swinging," the actor answered with a joke.

Stayt kept on teasing the celebrity, "I bet you're calm, but slightly menacing," to which Gosling replied, "Right. Slow burn? I'm doing it right now."

"Lost River" which stars Christina Hendricks tells the story of a single mother who is swept into a dark underworld while her son discovers an underwater town. It will open in limited theaters and on video-on-demand on Friday, April 10.
