'Lego Movie' Directors Working on Warner Bros.' 'The Flash' Film

Writer-director duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are working together on a treatment for Warner Bros.' upcoming movie 'The Flash'.

AceShowbiz - After working on "The Lego Movie" for Warner Bros., writer-director duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are working together to develop a story for WB's big-screen version of the DC Comic-based superhero, "The Flash". The movie is currently set for March 23, 2018 release.

A source says that they are currently working on a treatment for the studio about the superhero, whose unbelievable speed allows him to time travel. But it remains unclear if Lord and Miller will be hired to direct the upcoming superhero movie after writing the treatment. Lord and Miller have not announced yet what movie that they will be directing next.

This is not the first time Lord and Miller work together for Warner Bros.' movie. They previously directed the hit animated movie "The Lego Movie" which grossed $468.7M worldwide. They have been hired to write "The Lego Movie Sequel" and will produce "The Lego Batman Movie".

The duo additionally directed 2012's "21 Jump Street" and returned to serve behind the lens for the sequel, "22 Jump Street". Moreover, the duo directed "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and produced "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" for Columbia Pictures.
