'The Voice' Picks Top 12 of Season 8

Three singers of each team advance into the next round of the NBC singing competition series.

AceShowbiz - It's down to twelve on "The Voice" season 8 after a week of Life Playoffs. On Wednesday, April 8, each team and the coach took the stage for a joint performance before the result for the said team was announced.

Team Blake Shelton was up first, singing "I'll Take You There". Corey Kent White and Meghan Linsey advanced based on viewers' votes, while Blake chose to keep Hannah Kirby. Brooke Adee and Sarah Potenza, meanwhile, were eliminated.

Christina Aguilera and her proteges performed "Like a Prayer" by Madonna. Kimberly Nichole and India Carney made it into the Top 12, and Xtina chose to save Rob Taylor, meaning that Sonic and Lexi Davila were sent packing.

Team Pharrell Williams took the stage next, performing "Say Something (I'm Giving Up On You)". America saved Sawyer Fredericks and Mia Z. Pharrell chose Koryn Hawthorne as his third artist going into the Top 12, while Caitlin Caporale and Lowell Oakley lost their chances to win the competition.

Team Adam Levine sang "Diamonds" by Rihanna. Joshua Davis and Deanna Johnson scored their places in the Top 12 based on viewers' votes, while Adam chose to save Brian Johnson. Tonya Boyd-Cannon and Nathan Hermida were sent home.

"The Voice" will return with the live shows next week.
