Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde Set to Return for 'Tron 3'
Movie

Sam Flynn and his humanized algorithm sidekick will be back in the third movie to be directed by Joseph Kosinski.

AceShowbiz - Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde will reunite for the upcoming "Tron: Legacy" sequel. The two are going to reprise their roles as Sam Flynn and Quorra respectively in the third installment rumored to be titled "Tron: Ascension".

Joseph Kosinski who directed the 2010 film is back to sit behind the lens for "Tron 3", while Justin Springer serves as a producer. Production is expected to begin in October this year in Vancouver where the previous movie was also filmed.

The first movie was released by Disney in 1982 with Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner playing the key roles. It wasn't exactly a big hit but later drew a cult following. The story took place inside a computer world known as the Grid.

In the second movie, Hedlund's Sam is the son of Bridges' character. He enters the Grid to find his father. Wilde's Quorra is an ass-kicking algorithm who becomes Sam's aide in the Grid. Both Bridges and Boxleitner return to reprise their roles.

Daft Punk composed the score and made a cameo in the film. It's unclear if the EDM duo will return to curate music for the next one, but Kosinski once said, "When it comes to building the team up for soundtrack they would absolutely be my first call."
